Energy production has to include communities and their needs (“people dimension”), enabling access to sufficient renewable energy (“access dimension”) while respecting planetary boundaries (“planet dimension”). All this is key to achieve climate justice.
This page is dedicated to community energy solutions. You will find here information how energy projects can hamper community development, but also how communities can use energy production as a means for development. We believe that renewable energy solutions adhering to a number of criteria have the potential to positively influence the development of societies while contributing to the needed energy transition.
